Expanded grating is a material with openings in the surface.
These are created by staggered cuts without loss of material with simultaneous
expanding.
The meshes are neither braided nor welded. For this reason,
expanded grating can be cut to any required dimensions without losing its
firm coherence.
Mesh Consists of strands and the opening
they surround. The size of the mesh depends on its length and width.

Mesh length Clearance from middle node to
middle node in the direction of the long diagonal.
Mesh width Clearance from upper edge node to
upper edge node in the direction of the short diagonal.
Web width Width of the material remaining between openings.
Web thickness Thickness of the material used.
Knode length Clearance between two diagonals.
Knode width Roughly twice the web width.
Expanded grating width Total width of the expanded
grating, measured in the direction of the mesh's long diagonal.
Expanded grating length Total length of the
expanded grating, measured in the direction of the mesh's short diagonal.
Expanded grating thickness Total thickness of
the expanded grating.
