Dimensions and tolerances for clamping edges

Spa

Outer clamping dimension, outer dimensions measured over the clamping edges (radial stay)

Spi

Inner clamping dimensions, clearance between the clamping edges (lengthwise stay)

Spia

Inner clamping dimensions, measured from the bent seam outwards to the flat seam (lengthwise stay)

FL

Seam length, or clamping edge length

GL

Weave length

P

Parallelism of the clamping edges. This is the run of the outer edge of a clamping screen field provided for clamping.

Dimensions and tolerances for clamping edges
Spa = 0 / -8 mm
Spi = +8 / 0 mm
Spia = +8 / 0 mm
FL = 0 / -5 mm
GL = 0 / -5 mm
P = +2.5 / -2.5 mm

Fasteners for wire screen bottoms

Radial stay
The screen bottoms with clamping edges are clamped crosswise to the direction of flow of the screen product. All screening machine types, independently of the length and width, can then be covered with screen bottoms with a single width (border length). Screen bottoms made of particularly thick wire can be used at the input side. With single and twin-deck machinery changing is quick and simple. Re-tensioning with screws or wedges at the side walls is easy to carry out because the lengthwise sides are usually easily accessible. Where possible, crosswise clamping should be preferred.

Lengthwise stay
Not recommended for large areas because hardly any way to clamp and the screen bottoms can be made unfit for use through flutter fractures. Fast wear on the input side which makes the complete screen floor unfit for use.

Screen frame and clamping service

Round screening machines
are used for dry and wet screening not only in the screening industry for separating fine product and draining but also for clearing drilling sludges. We supply fully clamped screen frames for round screens and other screening machines.
All diameters to 2650 mm
Rectangular frames to 2650 x 3100 mm

The clamping fixtures we have developed guarantee even clamping of the wire screen bottom. Optimum clamping is essential for the performance of the screening machine with round screen and rectangular frames as well.

Clamping service
We clamp your used or defective rectangular frame, in just a few days if necessary. We have approx. 1000 different types of wire mesh constantly in stock.
