Carrier bars

The load-bearing parallel bars between two grid supports.

Mesh width

The clear space between carrier bars and cross-bars.

Cross-bars

Link bars crosswise to the carrier bars which are welded and/or compressed with carrier bars at the cross positions.

Mesh spacing

The measurement from centre to centre carrier bar and centre to centre cross-bars.

Frame section

An all-round grid frame (in the direction of the carrier bars = lengthwise frame and crosswise to the carrier bars = cross-wise frame) usually at the height of the carrier bars).

Length (direction of carrier bar)

The external dimension of a lattice grate in the direction of the carrier bars. This dimension is defined as the length even if it is less than the width.
